1. Believe in Your Own Abilities

There’s so many people who have grown tremendously through that they, in some way, got a different view and a renewed confidence in themselves.

Often it is just thoughts and faith that holds us back. It is often the lack of confidence from yourself and others that hinders you from being a completely different and more successful person than the one you are today. If you get some real experiences of accomplishing and mastering something, the brain is likely to begin thinking that you’re getting a hang of it.

2. You DON’T HAVE TO Do Anything

This is an attitude that puts you in the driving seat of your own life. You don’t actually have to go to work today. You don’t have to go to school. You can choose not to, or you can choose to go even though you don’t want to. You can choose to quit a job and begin another one somewhere else. Or you can even opt to do nothing at all, just hang around home and watch the painting dry. It it totally up to you — but you DON’T HAVE TO do anything. That is all a lie you tell yourself. You don’t have to be like everybody else, you can be yourself and just do those things that suits you.

Just remember: everything you do will have consequences for your future life! Then again, as mentioned, what you choose to do is totally up to you.

3. Mental Barriers

Mental barriers are walls you have to break through to carry on and improve yourself. These barriers becomes established truths to yourself. It is here you arrive, and no further, unless you break through such barriers. What you’ve previously seen you’re capable of becomes the truth to you. You think: “I’ve seen I can do this. This is how good I am”. And every time you improve you’ll have a new truth about yourself. That’s how you keep improving.

For example, if you get a new top score your subconscious will increase your potential. Next time your up for the same task your subconscious has increased your potential. You “know” what you’ve done and achieved before, and that of course you can do as good again. You’ve now improved and become a better player/athlete. It has become the established truth for you that you’re capable of doing this.

The problem lies in where we might not improve specifically and receive a “new truth” within a certain time frame. We start to stagnate and accept a “status quo”. Just remember, that most of these established truths and barriers are just in your head — and they might not be real at all.

4. Visualize the Results Beforehand

The first step to be able to accomplish anything is to visually see yourself do it in your inner mind. If you’re unable to see it in your thoughts, then you can just forget about it in your real life. You cannot perform and do anything you have not visualized in your thoughts. As simple as that. It is also scientifically proven that positively visualizing upcoming actions/events is likely to have a positive impact on the outcome itself — and vice versa.

Visualization of your goals and desires accomplishes four very important things:

  1. It activates your creative subconscious which will start generating creative ideas to achieve your goal.
  2. It programs your brain to more readily perceive and recognize the resources you will need to achieve your dreams.
  3. It activates the law of attraction, thereby drawing into your life the people, resources, and circumstances you will need to achieve your goals.
  4. It builds your internal motivation to take the necessary actions to achieve your dreams.

Visualization is really quite simple. You sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes and imagine — in as vivid detail as you can — what you would be looking at if the dream or goal you have were already realized. Imagine being inside of yourself, looking out through your eyes at the ideal result.

5. Forgive Yourself for All Your Faults and Mistakes

You might not be the person you wish you were. ****However, if you are to achieve good results in the future, you gotta like yourself. There might be things and actions you’ve done that you regret. Maybe is it bad habits that has had an impact on who you’ve become or on how your body might look and function today. Those things you can’t do anything about. It’s history, and history you can’t change, regardless of how much you dearly wish you could. You got to live with your history, whether you like it or not. To progress and get on you have to forgive yourself all your mistakes, bad habits or things you may have said or done. Those mistakes don’t need to be a deciding factor for how your future shall be. But they will — unless you go in specifically and decide to put an end to them.

Try to say the following words out loud to yourself:

“My life may not be exactly as I’ve wished for. But from today I will accept my past. It is a part of me, and it has made me to the person I am today. But from today I will my live in the present, in the now. My past is past, and my future is my future, but I will choose to focus on the time right here and now. It is what I do, moment by moment, that will decide the outcome of the future I will receive.”

If you from today stop and think, and take good decisions, without pulling in the past, then you will notice that your past is going to become more and more positive to reminisce about.
